$10 million gift honors late husband by funding cancer center
Shelly Schwartz has honored her late husband’s grateful spirit and the care he received while fighting cancer with a $10 million gift to the IU Health Foundation and the Joe and Shelly Schwarz Cancer Center at IU Health North Hospital. The largest single gift to IU Health by a living donor, the donation supports a wide array of clinical and support services for cancer patients. “The Joe and Shelly Schwarz Cancer Center is going to be an all-in-one facility with the best doctors, the best equipment, and a lot of the extras that add to the cancer care,” Shelly said.
