After a double lung transplant, David Morgan wants others to receive the same care he did

After receiving a double lung transplant, David Morgan is putting his philanthropic muscle behind helping transplant patients and their families.

In honor of his IU Health care team and the donor who gave me him the gift of lungs, Morgan’s family foundation helps cover non-medical expenses like hotels and meals for transplant patients and their families who have to spend extended periods away from home. Morgan believes such support gives other transplant patients a better chance at a longer, healthier life.

The lifelong athlete and traveler says, simply, “The basic reason we’re contributors is to support people who don’t have the resources or wherewithal to get what I got.”
