Feelin’ Smoothie: A Sweet Surprise for IU Health Cancer Patients
A handwritten note sent to Tropical Smoothie Café near IU Health North Hospital inspired the owner to donate smoothies every month to cancer patients. The card thanked the business owner for being so close to the IU Health Joe & Shelly Schwarz Cancer Center, so patients can enjoy smoothies to soothe the dry mouth that so often comes with chemotherapy. “I need more of this in my life,” said café owner Jamie Volpert.
