Partnering for the Health and Well-Being of Moms and Babies

With twins on the way and an abusive, drug-addicted boyfriend, Danielle White needed help – and she found it through the IU Health Nurse Family Partnerships Program. Funded through philanthropy, the program pairs first-time, low-income moms with IU Health nurses who provide educational resources and support through the entirety of a pregnancy and until the child turns two. While the program includes basics such as health checks, nutrition training and more, it also provides a pathway to support for life’s challenges – including ones like those Danielle White faced – to help ensure that moms and babies are healthy and economically self-sufficient.
