Pathway to growth: Donors support IU Health employees’ career development

Inspired by workers’ desire to grow and contribute in new ways, Gary and Shelly Henriott donated $100,000 to the IU Health Foundation to provide scholarships for IU Health Arnett Hospital entry-level workers interested in pursuing skilled healthcare careers. The Pathways into Healthcare program pays frontline workers – such as those who work in food preparation and environmental services – to receive the technical training needed to become certified medical assistants, improving the long-term career prospects for the employees and providing the hospital with a pipeline for skilled workers.
