Philanthropy brings renowned clinicians to Indiana
IU Health Foundation president Crystal Miller says friends facing major healthcare challenges often ask her, "Who's the best?" As in, “Who’s the best at treating this kind of cancer?” or “Who’s the best at addressing this specific heart condition?” In her latest quarterly message, she explains that the recently launched IU Health Foundation Master Clinician program supports the recruitment of highly sought-after healthcare professionals to IU Health. To attract top healthcare talent, we must supply well-trained clinical colleagues, modern spaces and high-quality equipment. And to complement their clinical practice, these clinicians need facilities and opportunities where they can conduct research, teach and mentor. The program is working, bringing renowned clinicians who offer world-class healthcare, right here in Indiana. But doing so requires financial resources similar to start-up costs for a new business.
