

Regional Philanthropy Director donates after her own cancer experience
As the IU Health Foundation's South Central Region Philanthropy Director, Diane Buzzell was familiar with cancer. She had worked with numerous survivors who later became donors as well as their clinicians and caregivers. So when she learned she had cancer and needed a lumpectomy, she knew she would be okay. Now recovering, Buzzell sees the power of philanthropy from the other side.
"Now that I have been the beneficiary of other people's philanthropy, it is important to me to return the favor," she says.
