Routine physical reveals condition affecting entire family
A routine physical led to the revelation of a young athlete’s potentially life-threatening heart condition. But the impact went well beyond that one person: A genetic screening supported by IU Health Foundation donors revealed that others in his family shared that condition – and allowed them to take measures to prevent serious ramifications.
