

To honor a mother’s battle with ALS, Madness at The Vogue raises $50,000 for patient care
Mike Fitzgerald knows the toll ALS takes on patients and caregivers firsthand, after confronting his mother’s diagnosis 13 years ago. In her honor, the High Alpha co-founder and partner launched Head Cook for ALS – a foundation dedicated to funding research for the rare neurological disease and caring for patients who suffer from it. Each spring, Fitzgerald and his friends in the tech community close down a legendary Broad Ripple nightclub to enjoy the first day of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament while also raising money and awareness for ALS support. After this year’s event, Head Cook for ALS donated $50,000 to IU Health to support care for patients with ALS.
